Who We Are
The Rycroft Agricultural Society is a community-driven organization dedicated to enhancing life by nurturing growth and participation in community events. Our mission is to create a vibrant and welcoming space where people can come together to celebrate, learn, and grow. We operate the Rycroft Ag Centre, a multi-use facility located in the heart of the Peace River Region, and the newly constructed Rodeo Grounds, which offer a range of event spaces and amenities.
Our Services
Our state-of-the-art facilities can accommodate a wide range of events, including meetings, conventions, weddings, funerals, community dances, markets, and more. The Main Hall, with its 60' x 100' footprint, features modern washrooms, a commercial kitchen, bar area, and a portable stage. The space is ideal for events requiring a large gathering space. The Upper Floor Studio/Meeting Room offers a more intimate setting, with a 30' x 55' footprint, modern washrooms, and a mini-kitchen.
In addition to the indoor spaces, our Rodeo Grounds provide a unique and exciting setting for events such as Jackpots, Rodeos, outdoor clinics, rough stock futurities, and daily outdoor arena usage. The grounds feature power, water, announcers' booth, and safe and efficient pens for stock events. We also offer parking areas, covered verandas, and RV parking.
The Farm
The Rycroft Agricultural Society is proud to partner with local farmers, agricultural custom operators, and agri-businesses to donate land, time, equipment, and crop inputs to seed and harvest a crop each year. The revenue generated from selling the crop is used to help fund capital projects at the Rycroft Ag Centre and Grounds, which benefit our local community. We extend our gratitude to the landowners, G-3 Canada Ltd, Richardson Pioneer, CF Industries, and Spirit River MD #133, as well as the many agricultural suppliers and volunteers who contribute to the success of our crop.
