At 24 Carrots Bakery, we're passionate about providing our customers with fresh, wholesome breads and baked goods made from scratch using quality ingredients. Our bakery is locally owned and managed by Richard and Demita Boschel, along with their dedicated team of employees. With a rich history dating back to 1994, we've expanded our services to include wholesale, grocery stores, and direct sale from our Bake Shop.
Our Story
It all began in a food court outlet in Spring Garden Place, where Richard, a skilled chef trained in his native France, brought his expertise in the culinary arts to the table. Demita, a BBA graduate from Acadia University, joined the growing business in 2008, contributing 25 years of management experience. Over the years, we've relocated and expanded our services to meet the needs of our customers.
Our Mission
Our goal is to offer our customers fresh, wholesome breads and baked goods that we make from scratch using quality ingredients. Almost all of our breads are made without added preservatives or enhancers. We strive to provide excellent personalized service, whether you're a individual customer or a large wholesale client.
Community Support
Supporting our community is important to us. We deliver fresh breads and baked goods leftover in our Shop at the end of the day to local soup kitchens and charities. We also donate baked goods to support community suppers and local fundraising events. Some of the organizations we support include Hope Cottage, The Salvation Army, Margaret's House, Souls Harbour RESCUE Mission, NS Mental Health Association, IWK Children's Hospital, and Veith House.
