At York Professional Care & Education, we are committed to providing high-quality child care services that foster the growth and development of children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our programs are designed to engage children, families, and educators in a journey of discovery and learning, with a focus on building character, confidence, and a love for lifelong learning.

Our Philosophy

We believe that every child has the right to accessible, quality care and education. Our learning environments are designed to be inclusive, nurturing, and safe, with a focus on the natural world, emotional atmosphere, and social culture. We believe in collaborative relationships with families and educator teams, and our programs complement the learning philosophies of the Ministry of Education.

Our History

Established in 1986 as York Professional Day Care, we have grown from a small, private, non-profit organization to a leader in child care services in York Region and Simcoe County. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include licensed childcare sites, home child care, camps, nature programs, and emergency care. Today, we operate multiple locations across the region, with a team of dedicated educators and staff committed to providing exceptional care and education.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs designed to meet the unique needs of children at different stages of development. Our Child Care Centres cater to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, while our Before and After School Programs support children up to 12 years old. Our Home Child Care program provides care and education in a nurturing home environment, while our Camps and Nature Programs offer unique outdoor learning experiences. In addition, we provide Emergency Care services for families in need.
