Our company, which has been in operation since 1988, is dedicated to preserving the age-old traditions of blacksmithing while incorporating modern techniques into our designs. Our company is one of the few in North America that employs fully qualified blacksmiths. Our master craftsman, Joe Schneeberger, apprenticed for 17 years with Austria's leading wrought iron maker before bringing his expertise to Canada. He has since passed on his specialized knowledge to a new generation of blacksmiths, including his son Mike Feiner, who also apprenticed in Austria. Today, Mike is teaching the techniques of yesterday while utilizing the tools of tomorrow.
Craftsmanship in Timeless Metal Work
Iron Master Decor creates handmade original designs that serve as pieces of living, lasting history. Our meticulous attention to detail and use of high-quality materials ensure that our creations stand the test of time. Almost every building features some kind of iron ornamentation, but very few utilize real wrought iron. Instead, mass-produced factory assemblies dominate the market, compromising on designs and quality.
At Iron Master Decor, every piece we create for exterior use is hot-dip galvanized for total rust protection. The hot-dipping process coats the iron in liquid zinc, which is one of the most corrosion-resistant metals in existence. This is followed by an imported German paint specifically designed for galvanized metals, ensuring a lifetime of maintenance-free durability. For interior applications, we seal the ironwork with a crystal clear lacquer, which is easy to keep clean and never ages.
