Our History
Shuman Insurance has been a trusted partner in the community for over 90 years, with roots dating back to 1955. Our office has been located on Main Street in Camrose, Alberta, since the beginning, making us the only insurance broker on Main Street. The company's history is rich in tradition, with Frank P. Layton, one of the first mayors of Camrose, starting the business under his own name. Today, Christine Shuman and Wendi Rau own the business, joined by a team of licensed brokers who are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers.
As a broker, we are proud to represent some of the largest and most stable insurance companies in the country, including Travelers Canada, Intact Insurance, and SGI Canada.
