Reviews
Negative: The reviewers expressed disappointment and frustration with the CMTO's poor customer service, lack of support, inefficient communication, constant requests for money, and unprofessional conduct.

Poor Customer Service and Unprofessionalism

The reviews listed below highlight the poor customer service and unprofessionalism exhibited by the Canadian Mental Health Counselors Association (CMTO). The reviewers express frustration and disappointment with the organization's inability to provide adequate support, constant requests for money, and lack of transparency.

Lack of Support

Reviewers mention that the organization fails to provide adequate support to its members, particularly therapists. They feel that the organization prioritizes making money over helping its members. Avery Corfe, for example, was asked to pay a large sum of money to work, despite being a single parent with limited financial resources. Pink Pearl also felt that the organization did not provide adequate support, stating that it was an "amateurish operation."

Inefficient and Unhelpful Communication

Reviewers have had poor experiences with communicating with the CMTO. Lianne Wouda had trouble rescheduling her exam due to poor communication with the organization. Avery Corfe also struggled with the online registration process and had difficulty reaching someone to resolve the issue. Pink Pearl felt that the organization ghosted her after the interview.

Constant Requests for Money

Reviewers feel that the CMTO is overly focused on making money, rather than providing value to its members. In addition to membership fees, the organization requests money for various services and exams. Ali Slessor, for example, felt that the organization was "greedy" for charging a high rate of $800 per year.

Unprofessional Conduct

Pink Pearl's review highlights the organization's unprofessional conduct during the hiring process. The interviewers failed to disclose important information about the job, such as the need to review complaints of sexual assault. They also lacked technical knowledge and made nonsensical remarks.
