Overall Experience
The reviews for Tennis BC at Stanley Park are mixed, with some parents expressing positive experiences while others have had negative ones.
Supportive Coaching
A few parents have expressed concerns about the level of support provided by the coaches. Rebecca Pitfield's son didn't find the teacher supportive and felt that there wasn't much actual tennis being played, leading to boredom and a negative impact on his confidence. On the other hand, Priscilla Anderson's daughters enjoyed the coaching and mentioned that the coach ran drills and games that the kids loved.
Camp Organization
Rebecca Pitfield was dissatisfied with the camp's organization, stating that her son didn't have a good experience and that the camp didn't respond to her email about his progress. On the other hand, Charles Du Toit's experience with Tennis BC's assistance with sanctioned tennis BC tournaments suggests that the organization can be effective in certain contexts.
Court Booking and Maintenance
Veronica D. praised Tennis BC's court booking system, noting that it's easy and accessible to secure a court. She also appreciated the organization's maintenance of the six courts at Stanley Park. However, Daithi Promo voiced concerns about Tennis BC's take-over of public tennis courts in BC, suggesting that the organization is prioritizing expensive coaching over public access.
