Developing Players, Building Champions

The Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association (PCAHA) is the governing organization for Minor Hockey in the Lower Mainland District of BC Hockey, encompassing the area from Hope to the Sunshine Coast. Our membership consists of 42 Minor Hockey Associations and 2 above-Minor leagues, serving approximately 19,700 male and female players aged 5 to 20; 6,000 coaches, managers, and other team officials; 2,100 referees; and many other volunteers.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote Minor Hockey in partnership with its member Associations and Leagues, stressing sportsmanship, fair competition, development, and safety for hockey players of all skill levels. We are committed to providing a positive and enjoyable hockey experience for all participants, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Services Offered

As a governing organization, we offer a range of services to support our member Associations and Leagues, including:

  • Clinics and seminars for coaches, managers, and players
  • Rule book and policy development
  • Personal information protection and safety management
  • Tournament information and forms
  • Arena maps and scheduling
  • Playing the game guidance, including games, standings, and schedules
  • Spordle gamesheet management and training for coaches, managers, and scorekeepers
  • Referee information and training
  • Pathway development for U7, U9, and U11 players
  • Links to Hockey Canada, BC Hockey, and the Vancouver Canucks

Our History and Values

The PCAHA honors the traditional lands and homelands of all Indigenous peoples and communities across Canada, including First Nations, Inuit, and Metis. We recognize the importance of our region's rich cultural heritage and strive to promote inclusivity, diversity, and respect for all participants.

Our President's Message

As the President of the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association, I am proud to lead an organization that is dedicated to promoting Minor Hockey in the Lower Mainland District of BC Hockey. Our goal is to provide a positive and enjoyable hockey experience for all participants, while promoting sportsmanship, fair competition, development, and safety.

Richard Hart believes that the addition of colourful logos does not make the platform easier to use, suggesting that design changes do not necessarily translate to improved functionality.
