Customer Experience and Issues
Swain Moving & Storage seems to have left a negative impact on their customers, particularly with their service and communication. Two customers, Eve Hughes and Bonnie Cook, shared their unfortunate experiences with the company.
Damaged Furniture and Lost Items
Eve Hughes rated the service as 1 star and mentioned that her furniture was damaged and she lost boxes during the move. She was not allowed to enter her storage unit since it was considered "long term only, " which was not disclosed when she received her initial quote from Steve. Moreover, Steve charged her $200 to move her goods from the storage unit to the dock for a mover to pick up. This experience left her feeling disgusted with the service, and she found Steve to be totally ignorant of her concerns.
Lack of Communication and Unreliable Service
Bonnie Cook also rated the service as 1 star and shared her experience of dealing with Swain Moving & Storage. After booking their move with the company, they attempted to contact Swain to confirm dates and times but received no response despite multiple calls and emails. This lack of communication forced them to look for a new moving company, which proved to be difficult due to the large size of their move and its out-of-town nature. To date, they have not received any word from Swain regarding their initial booking.
