Joe the Mover is a well-established moving company that has been serving the Greater Toronto Area, Mississauga, and Ontario for almost 40 years. Founded in 1970 by a man named Joe, the company began with just one truck and has since grown to operate a fleet of 6 trucks. This growth can be attributed to our family-oriented business approach and our commitment to offering our valued customers low rates and reliable, friendly service. We take great pride in our history and look forward to continued success in the future.

We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions related to moving to help guide you through the process.

• How long does it take to move a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartment?

For a one-bedroom apartment, approximately 2-4 hours.

For a two-bedroom condo, approximately 3-6 hours.

For a three-bedroom house, approximately 6-8 hours.

Please keep in mind that all situations are unique and these times are served as guidelines only.

• When does moving time start?

We base our hourly rate starting when the truck arrives at your residence. The time runs through the loading of the truck, the travel to your new home, and ends when the truck is empty and set-up is complete.

• What is travel time?

Travel time is a flat-rate fee or time based on the average driving time from our office to your pickup area.

• What time do your movers start?

We generally begin our day between 8:00am and 9:00am, and work straight through the day.

• Do I need to be present during the pickup?

Absolutely.

• Do you sell packing materials?

Yes, we do. We also offer packing services as an additional service.

• How do you protect furniture?

We cautiously wrap all furniture with thick moving blankets, to ensure your possessions arrive at their destination safely.

• Are you insured?

Absolutely!

In addition to moving your belongings, we can also help you pack them. We offer a full-service packing solution and charge our standard hourly rate for the time our movers spend packing your belongings. We offer this service one day prior to moving day. We can also provide packing materials at an additional cost.

*Storage*

We provide different storage solutions to meet your needs, whether it's one box or an entire household. We offer a range of storage options to suit your specific requirements.

Rates

Rates begin at $95/hour, dock to dock charge, plus fuel. All moving requirements are different. Please contact us today to have a representative call you to give you a proper estimate.
