Hoards Station Community Livestock Exchange is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the farming community in Eastern Ontario for over 70 years. Our mission is to provide a convenient and efficient platform for farmers to buy and sell livestock, while also promoting the agricultural industry in our region.
Our History
Hoards Station was established in 1949, and since then, we have been committed to providing a fair and transparent marketplace for our customers. Over the years, we have made significant investments in modernizing our facilities and adopting new technologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our auctions. Today, we are one of the most respected and trusted sale barns in Ontario, and we take pride in our reputation for integrity and professionalism.
Our Services
At Hoards Station, we offer a range of services to support the livestock industry in Eastern Ontario. Our weekly auctions featuring a variety of livestock, including cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and horses. We also host special sales, such as herd dispersals, farming equipment sales, and farm estate sales, upon request. Additionally, we provide a platform for local church groups to host home-cooked meals for our customers, adding to the festive atmosphere of our auctions.
Our Facilities
Our sale barn is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including digital scales, RFID technology, and a customized computer system that enables us to print cheques and invoices on site. Our three-ring system allows us to accommodate large volumes of livestock, and our experienced staff ensures that the auction process is smooth and efficient.
