Brenneman Funeral Home is a family-owned and operated business that has been proudly serving the community of North Perth since 1934. David and Abbey Bald, the current owners of Brenneman Funeral Home, are proud to continue the legacy of service that has been built over the years. The Bald family is committed to serving Atwood and the surrounding communities with the same level of dedication and professionalism that has come to be expected from Brenneman Funeral Home.

Our History

The Peebles family began the business on Atwood's Main Street in 1934, operating under the name of J.A. Peebles & Sons Funeral Home. The Peebles family not only provided funeral services but also operated a furniture store. In 1950, the Peebles family moved to its current location at 141 John Street. After Johnston Peebles retired, the business was passed down to his sons Jack and Bill.

In 1977, Jack and his wife Margaret Peebles took over the day-to-day operations of the business until 2003, when they retired and sold the Funeral Home. In 2004, Jim & Judy Brenneman took control as the owners/operators of Peebles Funeral Home Ltd. They renovated the Funeral Home in 2006, adding an accessible entrance and creating an open and inviting space. It was at this time that they changed the name from J.A. Peebles & Sons Funeral Home to Brenneman Funeral Home.

On June 30, 2022, David & Abbey Bald purchased Brenneman Funeral Home Ltd. The Bald Family is proud to serve Atwood, and surrounding communities, and is committed to providing high standards of service.
