At Rejoyce Childcare, we pride ourselves in maintaining a diverse and welcoming centre where all children feel welcome and at home. Our team of dedicated and passionate educators strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters the growth and development of each child.
Our Vision
Our mission is to provide high-quality childcare that supports the well-being of children, families, and staff in our community. We believe that children thrive best within the context of loving and caring relationships with families, adults, and peers. We strive to provide a safe, caring, respectful, and inclusive environment where each child is honoured and seen as a capable and competent learner.
Program Statement
Our program statement guides our curriculum and is consistent with the researched and evidence-based Ministry of Education document, "How Does Learning Happen" (HDLH). Our curriculum is inquiry-based and is based on the four foundations of learning. Our primary goals include promoting the health, safety, and nutrition of the children; engaging the children in a play and inquiry-based program; and fostering the healthy mental and physical development of the children.
Our Programs
At Rejoyce Childcare, we offer a range of programs designed to cater to the unique needs and interests of children from ages 2.5 to 12. Our programs follow an inquiry and play-based approach, which fosters the development of young minds by providing opportunities for creative, collaborative, and critical-thinking skills.
Pre-School (ages 2.5-4)
Our Pre-School program is designed to support the natural curiosity of young children. Our educators use "How Does Learning Happen" (HDLH) as a guide to develop a curriculum that is engaging and fun for our young learners. Our program focuses on literacy and numeracy skills, as well as social skills such as making friends and sharing.
Kindergarten (ages 4-6)
Our Kindergarten program is designed to engage children in various learning opportunities based on their curiosity. Our educators provide opportunities for children to make their thinking come to life, and we believe that learning is a social activity. Our program focuses on literacy and numeracy skills, as well as social skills such as cooperation and problem-solving.
School-Age (ages 6-12)
Our School-Age program is designed to foster advanced interpersonal, creative, and goal-setting skills with peers in the program. Our educators provide opportunities for children to learn advanced social skills such as emotional literacy, leadership, and problem-solving. Our program also focuses on preparing children on how to cope with bullying and empathize with people from different ethnic backgrounds.
Diversity is Our Strength
At Rejoyce Childcare, we believe that diversity is our strength. We strive to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive of all children, regardless of their cultural background, abilities, and interests. We believe that by embracing diversity, we can create a rich and vibrant learning environment that fosters the growth and development of each child.
