Our Story
Incorporated in 1984, our company has specialized in construction and major renovations of high-quality homes. We believe that building a new home should be a satisfying and exciting process for its owners. That's why we work closely with carefully selected subtrades to provide the highest quality workmanship, unsurpassed service, and a commitment to doing it right. Our team approach to creating each home we build ensures that the homeowner, consultants, and contractor are all part of the team, working together to deliver a project that meets the functional requirements and aesthetic needs of the owner within the authorized budget and occupancy schedule.
Our Services
As a comprehensive general contractor, our services include complete construction management, design advice, budget control, and onsite organization and supervision of all phases of the project. We provide information and guidance on government approvals, health and safety requirements, insurance obligations, and realistic time schedules. We also offer discounts on materials, keeping tight control on the budget by updating schedules, checking shop drawings, changing orders, and providing cost statements and progress billings every two weeks. Our comprehensive management approach strives to greatly reduce the likelihood of disputes over the cost of changes in design or additions/deletions to the work.

At Wilco Construction Ltd., we're committed to delivering exceptional quality, transparency, and professionalism in every aspect of our work. We carry liability insurance for the company at our cost and are fully licensed with the Workers Compensation Board of Canada. As a Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) contractor, we're dedicated to providing our clients with a stress-free and enjoyable building experience.
Our Location
Wilco Construction operates on Southern Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island in beautiful British Columbia. Our main office is located on Salt Spring Island, and we're now taking bookings for new projects on Salt Spring Island for Spring 2025.

They were able to finish their home after the original contractor, Al & I Contractors, had numerous delays and issues with workmanship and drug problems. Wilco completed the project on time and within budget, demonstrating that you get what you pay for. They would recommend Wilco for their next home project.

Review:
Mark Diner, a less satisfied customer, expressed disappointment due to poor communication that led to unexpected expenses. Initially, they had high expectations and were pleased with the early positive engagement and good client service. However, when difficulties arose, communication was lacking, leading to a negative experience. Although Wilco assisted in some challenging situations and had skilled staff, they failed to compromise on the final bill. This led Mark Diner to find other builders who could offer more economical estimates. They advised doing thorough research or being prepared to pay more.
