We are thrilled to welcome you to the Connectivity Dance family! Our dance studio is more than just a place to learn a series of steps or make shapes - it is a community where expression, communication, and active living are promoted. We are proud to serve the Leduc area, offering professional dance training for students of all ages and abilities.
Our Mission
At Connectivity Dance, our mission is to instill a love of the art, a knowledge of technique, commitment, self-discipline, and memories that will last a lifetime. Our programs are designed with the physical and developmental appropriateness of students in mind, ranging from ages two through adult. We strive to create a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Dance Programs
Connectivity Dance offers a wide range of dance genres, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and acro. Our programs cater to various levels, from beginner to advanced, and we have something for everyone. We take pride in offering professional instruction that adheres to the highest standards of technique and artistic expression.
Competition Classes
For those who are interested in taking their dance training to the next level, Connectivity Dance offers competition classes. These classes provide the opportunity for dancers to compete at local, regional, and national competitions, showcasing their skills and technique. Participation in competition classes is by audition only, and we welcome dancers who are dedicated, hard-working, and passionate about dance.
Connectivity Skippers
In addition to our dance programs, Connectivity Skippers is a registered jump rope program that promotes active lifestyles. We introduce youth to various jump rope techniques, including single rope, long rope, and double dutch. Following the CanSkip and Punk Rope programs, our programming aligns with Long-Term Athlete Development for both individual and team skills. Connectivity Skippers is a member of True Sport and provides community event opportunities as well as school demos with Jump Rope for Heart.
Class Attire
At Connectivity Dance, we require proper dance attire for all classes, as it enables dancers to achieve the full range of motion and allows instructors to observe proper technique, body movements, muscle use, and alignment. Properly fitting attire also creates a uniform look that reduces visual distractions and builds a team atmosphere.
Dancewear
Dancewear is not mandatory for Pre-Dance classes, but we recommend form-fitted clothing for young dancers and comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing for participating parents. For older students, we have a dress code that includes leotards, tights, ballet slippers, and proper footwear for other genres. Please see our website or contact our office for specific dancewear requirements for each genre and level.
