Our Services
At Spectrum Health, we offer a range of services to cater to the diverse needs of our patients. Our services include:
- Comprehensive primary medical care, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and chronic disease management
- Expertise in the management of HIV/AIDS, including medication management and counseling
- Cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen for hand warts and other benign skin lesions
- Prescription refills for medication, including controlled substances
- Medical certifications and forms for school, work, or insurance purposes
- Medical exams for driver's licenses, sports, and other activities
- Cosmetic services, such as skin excision and liquid nitrogen treatments
Policies and Services Not Covered by MSP
At Spectrum Health, we understand that not all medical services are covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP). We provide some services free of charge to our patients, including cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen for hand warts and other benign skin lesions, and phone requests for medication refills from pharmacies. Other services not covered by MSP will be charged to the patient directly, payable in cash or cheque.
Prescription Refills
At Spectrum Health, we understand the importance of timely medication refills. We offer prescription refills for patients under certain circumstances. For regular medications taken at a stable dose, a refill may be provided over the phone, pending 24-hour notice. However, certain medications, including controlled substances and medications requiring triplicate prescription pads, must be obtained in person with a physician.
Missed and Cancelled Appointments
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may lead to missed or cancelled appointments. As a courtesy, we do not charge for cancelled appointments. However, we kindly request that patients provide at least 24-hour notice for cancelled appointments to allow for another patient to be seen.
