Problems with Insurance Portfolio
Insurance Portfolio has received several negative reviews, with customers expressing frustration and disappointment with their services. One customer, Doug Manning, had a particularly poor experience. He had been a customer since the 1970s but switched brokers after a series of errors. Despite this, he was still expected to fill out paperwork and provide information to his old broker, D.D. Manning reported that he received a Letter of Experience with incorrect information, including his name missing and his ex-wife listed as an insured driver. He was told that this was due to a "computer error" and left to navigate the process on his own.
Manning's experience was further complicated when he contacted the insurance regulatory board for Ontario and was told that Insurance Portfolio was unwilling to assist a former client with a Letter of Experience. He eventually received the report from Western Assurance, the carriers of his policy, who were responsive and polite. Manning was critical of Insurance Portfolio's lack of support and guidance, stating that the owner's response to his concerns was unhelpful.
Positive Experiences with Insurance Portfolio
On the other hand, some customers have had positive experiences with Insurance Portfolio. Yara K. and Dhillon Harry both gave the company 5-star ratings. Yara praised Walter, her broker, for being patient, responsive, and helpful in complicated insurance matters. She noted that the team care about their clients and take their concerns seriously. Dhillon thanked Alex for his assistance with multiple vehicles, including helping with insurance slips. Both reviewers recommended Walter and Alex as brokers and praised the company's professionalism.
