Babu Catering and Take Out is a pioneer in the Thamil food industry, established in 1992. Our journey began when Babu, a refugee arriving in Canada in the late 1980s, identified a need to introduce the taste of Eelam to the growing Thamil diaspora. Over the past 25 years, we have grown our services and menu selection, and have had the privilege of catering to the needs of many different communities.

Our Mission and Values

As a community business, Babu Catering has always been dedicated to supporting local schools, hospitals, and community initiatives. This commitment stems from Babu's personal experience as a refugee who received social assistance during his first few months in Toronto. We believe in giving back to the country that welcomed us and are proud to support the community that has supported us throughout the years.

At Babu Catering, we specialize in traditional Thamil food, as well as an extensive selection of India, Hakka, and East Asian dishes. Our menu has been revamped by renowned Chef Damu, a multiple Guinness World Record holder, who has introduced his signature dishes to our offerings. Our primary focus is on providing exceptional guest experiences and serving high-quality, flavorful food that embodies the taste of Thamil Eelam.
