Our History
Flora's Gift Shop has its roots in the early 1950s, when our founder, Mrs. Flora Boudreau, opened a general store in Cheticamp. Over the years, she not only sold everyday essentials to locals, but also showcased her own handmade hooked rugs, which quickly became a hit with tourists. As the craft shop evolved, Mrs. Boudreau's passion for rug hooking only grew stronger, and she began to sell the work of her neighbors and friends. Today, our shop is still family-owned and operated, with Marie LeFort, Mrs. Boudreau's daughter, at the helm.
Rug Hooking

We are located on the Cabot Trail in Point Cross, just a short drive from the charming village of Cheticamp. As you exit Grand Etang on your northerly journey towards Cheticamp, our distinctive signage and expanded parking lot make us easy to find.
