Our Story
It all began with a post-wedding brunch and gift opening for one of J'Val's closest friends in the Spring of 1997. Everything on that first menu was hand-crafted with love and made from scratch in a small apartment kitchen until the wee hours of the morning on the day of the celebration. From that moment on, the seeds of Devour were planted, and we've been cultivating memorable experiences ever since.

Our team is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds, skills, and personalities, but we all share a passion for creating positive and genuine impacts on our guests. Our team members are:
- J'Val Shuster, Owner and Proprietor, who has a deep passion for creating memorable experiences and is dedicated to helping celebrate moments that matter with people who matter.
- Jasmin Ohlhoff, Events Producer, who brings a unique ability to envision a personality for each event and brings it to life with creative menus that connect to both the decor and service details.
- Manuel Castro, Head Chef, who leads the Devour kitchen team and brings creativity and dedication to flavor to every dish.
- Christie DeMarce, Sales Manager, who brings over 30 years of food and beverage knowledge and a genuine love of building community through good food and unique shared experiences.
- Kathleen Van Ihinger, Operations Manager, who brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to Devour, ensuring all events run smoothly and our full team is supported.
- Our amazing team of servers, onsite chefs, and bartenders who are genuinely interested in who you are and what you're celebrating.
