LONG ENOUGH VISITS
We make our appointments long enough to address all of your concerns during your appointment. We believe that taking the time to fully understand and address your concerns is essential to providing the best possible care for your pet.
DESENSITIZATION
For pets who get anxious about visiting the vet, we encourage gradual exposure and desensitization. This can make the vet visit a much more positive experience for your pet.
SLOW AND GENTLE HANDLING
When we handle your pet, we slow down, quiet our voices, and work to earn their trust. We use gentle handling techniques and swaddle your pet in a warm, soft blanket to make them feel comfortable and safe. We reward very stressed-out pets with veterinary-approved treats to melt away their anxiety.
MEDICATION WHEN NECESSARY
For pets who become car-sick on the way to the vet, we can prescribe an anti-nausea medication to make the car ride a more positive experience. For very stressed-out pets, we may prescribe a short-acting anxiolytic medicine to make the vet visit a more positive experience.
