At Friendly Truck Driving School, our mission is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become professional drivers. We are a registered career college under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005, and are bonded and insured. Our school is approved by the Ministry of Transportation and we have experienced and certified instructors. We also offer flexible scheduling, interview and resume preparation, and job placement assistance to help our students succeed in their new careers.

Our Services

We offer a range of courses and services to help individuals become professional drivers, including:

  • Class A License: Allows students to drive any tractor-trailer combination, including tractors and trailers, and is required for long-haul trucking.
  • Class B License: Allows students to drive any school bus, including regular buses and motor coaches, and is required for school bus drivers.
  • Class C License: Allows students to drive regular buses, vehicles, and other types of vehicles, including taxis and vans.
  • Class D License: Allows students to drive vehicles exceeding 11,000 kilograms (24,000 lb) gross weight.
  • Air Brake "Z" Endorsement: Required for truck drivers who need to operate vehicles with air brakes.
  • School Bus Driver Improvement Course (SBDIC): Designed specifically for school bus drivers, this course covers topics such as student supervision, first aid, and emergency procedures.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Module: Required for drivers who need to transport hazardous materials.
  • Hours of Service Module Requirements: Designed for truck drivers, this module covers rules and regulations related to hours of service, including driver fatigue and road safety.

Admission Requirements

To apply for our courses, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old for Class A, D, and C Licenses
  • Must be at least 21 years old for Class B and E Licenses
  • Must have a valid driver's license "G" or higher
  • Must provide MTO medical requirements
  • Grade 10 English or equivalent
