Our journey began over 20 years ago, when our founder, Cathie Bolin, opened the first optical store in the area. Our Story

Cathie's journey in the eye care industry began early in life. She started working with frames at Hudson Bay Optical while still in high school. Her passion for eye care and wear stems from personal experience. At 11 months old, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and spent countless hours in the ophthalmologist's chair. This personal experience transformed her perspective on vision health, and she became even more fascinated by the industry. As she grew older, she pursued her optician's license, contact lens license, and paraoptometric certification.

After working for both large corporations and small businesses, Cathie decided to open her own boutique in 2000. She chose the location near her home in Whyte Ridge, Winnipeg, and set out to create a unique shopping experience, offering exclusive brands and personalized customer service. Over the years, we have built a loyal customer base, thanks to our commitment to quality, style, and exceptional service.
