Golf Road School Child Care

At Golf Road School Child Care Centre, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from 18 months to 12 years of age. Our team of experienced educators and staff are committed to delivering high-quality care and education that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of each child.

Our Approach

We follow "How Does Learning Happen" Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years and "Early Learning for Every Child Today" as the framework to guide our programming and pedagogy. We believe that each child is competent, capable, curious, and rich in potential, and we strive to create an environment that supports their unique development.

Our Services

We offer a range of services and programs designed to meet the needs of children at different stages of development. Our programs include Toddlers (18 months to 30 months), Preschool (30 months to kindergarten age), Kinders (4 years to 6 years of age), and School Age (6 years to 12 years of age). Each program is tailored to provide a rich and engaging experience that promotes learning, exploration, and growth.

Nutrition and Health

We recognize the importance of nutrition and health in the development of children. Our nutrition program provides healthy and nutritious meals and snacks that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our children. We also have a dedicated team of educators who are trained in first aid and CPR, ensuring the safety and well-being of our children.

Documentation and Communication

We believe in keeping our parents informed about their child's daily activities, milestones, and progress. We use an online app called HiMama to provide daily updates, allowing parents to communicate with our educators, access photos and videos, and stay connected with their child's journey.

Our Affiliation

We are proud to be affiliated with Village Green Child Care Centre, which serves children from birth to 4 years of age. Our affiliation allows us to share resources, expertise, and best practices, ensuring that our children receive the highest quality care and education.

Our Governance

As a non-profit organization, we are governed by a parent Board of Directors. Our Board is open to all families who have a child enrolled at either Golf Road School Child Care Centre or Village Green Child Care Centre. We believe in accountability, transparency, and community involvement, and we work together to ensure that our services respond to the needs of families and communities first.
