At CASA Mental Health, we are dedicated to empowering children, youth, and families to thrive through timely mental health care. Our vision is a community where all members can access the support they need to overcome mental health challenges and reach their full potential. We believe that every individual, regardless of age or background, deserves access to comprehensive and culturally safe mental health services.

Our Services

CASA provides a range of mental health services to children, youth, and families across Alberta. Our programs and services are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual, from early childhood to young adulthood. We offer assessment and treatment services, as well as prevention and promotion programs, to support mental health and well-being.

Children's Services

For children between the ages of two and five, we offer early childhood mental health services, including assessment, treatment, and intervention programs. Our team of experts works closely with families to develop personalized plans that address the child's needs and promote healthy development.

For children and youth between the ages of five and 17, we provide a range of mental health services, including individual and group therapy, family therapy, and skills development programs. Our programs are designed to address a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral difficulties.

Youth Services

Our youth services are designed to support young people as they navigate the challenges of adolescence and transition into adulthood. We offer individual and group therapy, skills development programs, and peer support groups to help young people develop the skills and coping mechanisms they need to manage mental health challenges.

CASA Programs

CASA offers a range of programs and services that support mental health and well-being. These programs include:

  • Mental Health Treatment Programs: Our treatment programs provide intensive support and therapy to children, youth, and families coping with mental health challenges.
  • Prevention and Promotion Programs: Our prevention and promotion programs focus on early intervention and healthy development, promoting mental health and well-being in children and youth.
  • Crisis Intervention Programs: Our crisis intervention programs provide immediate support and intervention services to individuals in crisis, including assessment, treatment, and referral services.

Our Team

At CASA, our team of mental health professionals is committed to delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed services that meet the unique needs of each individual. Our team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, mental health therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, child care counsellors, teachers, and administrative staff. We work closely with community partners to ensure that our services are culturally safe and responsive to the diverse needs of our clients.

Governance

CASA is governed by a volunteer board of directors and is incorporated under the Companies Act of Alberta as a not-for-profit, charitable organization. We are accredited by Accreditation Canada and partner with the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services to provide comprehensive mental health services.
