Services
Document Delivery
We facilitate document delivery and interlibrary loan services for legal materials through email, courier, or fax networks. This service allows Ontario lawyers to access resources from other law libraries without charge. Our system ensures efficient borrowing and copying of legal documents to support practitioners across Northern Ontario.
Legal Database Access
Our facility provides three dedicated computers with access to WestLawNext Canada and LexisAdvance QL databases. These resources enable comprehensive legal research for Ontario practitioners. The technology infrastructure supports various legal needs including case law analysis, legislative research, and legal drafting assistance for fee-paying members.
Will Registry Services
We maintain Ontario's Will Check Registry to store location information for wills without holding the documents themselves. When will searches are successful, we provide contact information for the law office that drafted or holds the will. This service requires LSO member authentication for all requests and submissions.
WiFi Access
We offer secure, password-protected WiFi access for members and visiting counsel within our library and lounge areas. This service supports remote work and research needs for Ontario legal professionals while maintaining network security standards for confidential legal work.
Robing Rooms
Our facility includes robing rooms and lockers specifically designed for out-of-town counsel. The rooms are equipped to meet the practical needs of practicing lawyers.
