The BAC Masonry College, a leading provider of masonry training in Newfoundland and Labrador, has been empowering individuals to pursue successful careers in the construction industry since its inception in 2004. History and Milestones

The BAC Masonry College was incorporated by the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers, Local 1 in 2004. Over the years, the college has made significant strides in expanding its programs, services, and facilities. Our first pre-apprenticeship program was launched in 2006, and since then, we have successfully graduated numerous students who are now working as apprentices in the masonry industry. In 2007, we relocated to a larger facility in St. John's, which enabled us to offer enhanced services to our students, including a fully equipped resource room and new computers. In 2012, we moved to our current location in Conception Bay South, allowing us to expand our programs and services even further.

Training Programs

At the BAC Masonry College, we offer a range of training programs designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the masonry industry. Our programs cater to individuals who are new to the trade, as well as those who already possess some experience. We offer:

• Pre-employment Bricklayer: A comprehensive 28-week program that covers the basics of bricklaying, from foundation to finish work.
• Entry-Level Concrete Finisher: A 13-week program that focuses on the essential skills required to become a concrete finisher.

In addition to these core programs, we also offer advanced courses, post-journey training, and safety training, ensuring that our students have access to the most up-to-date skills and knowledge in the industry.
