At Discovery School-Based Child Care Program of Kingsville Inc., we are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality child care programs that enhance the life experiences of children within their own school community. With seven convenient locations, our goal is to meet the childcare needs of every family in our community, taking into consideration the varying schedules and lifestyles of today's families.

Our Philosophy

We believe that learning is not a race for information, but a walk of discovery. Our philosophy is to support a continuum of learning through an environment that offers children many opportunities to experience success as competent, curious, complex thinkers, and rich in potential. We foster a sense of belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression within each child, as outlined in the "How Does Learning Happen" framework. Our Programs

We offer a range of programs to cater to the diverse needs of families in our community. Our Toddler Program is designed for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years, focusing on building trust, independence, and social skills. Our Preschool Program is for children aged 2.5 to 4 years, emphasizing language and literacy, problem-solving, and creative expression. Our Before and After School Program is designed for children aged 4 to 12 years, providing a safe and engaging environment for homework, recreational activities, and socialization.

We offer competitive daily rates, with discounts available for full-time enrollment and sibling discounts.

Our Commitment to Health, Safety, and Nutrition

At Discovery, we prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our children. We monitor the children's health upon arrival and throughout the day, responding to any health and safety situations that may arise. We provide nutritious meals and snacks according to the Canadian Food Guide and the Healthy Eating Indicators' Tool, establishing a positive eating environment. Our programs are designed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, with opportunities for outdoor play, physical activity, and creative expression.
