Osprey's Roost has been doing whole-animal, craft butchery in Halifax since 2009. Initially called the Getaway Farm Butcher Shops, we renamed the shops in 2022 in honour of the provincial bird of Nova Scotia, and the Poyser family name who started our beef farm and butcher shops and still own it today (Osprey is an anagram of Poyser). We have two locations conveniently located across Halifax, offering a wide range of locally sourced meats, produce, and grocery products. Our commitment to sustainability, animal welfare, and supporting local farmers sets us apart from other butcher shops.
