Services
Strength & Conditioning
Our Strength & Conditioning programs build muscle, enhance performance, and prevent injury through evidence-based methods. Certified coaches use resistance training, Olympic lifting, and functional movements tailored to individual goals. Participants gain confidence in gym settings while improving bone density, balance, and energy levels across youth, adult, and senior programs.
Youth S&C High Performance
Designed for athletes aged 12-18, this program elevates training intensity with advanced movements and sport-specific conditioning. Coaches utilize performance spaces to develop speed, agility, and competitive readiness. Sessions focus on refining technical skills and preparing youth for higher-level athletic challenges in a supportive environment.
Adaptive Strength & Conditioning
Tailored for individuals with physical or cognitive limitations, this program emphasizes mobility, stability, and functional fitness in PISE's accessible facilities. Coaches modify exercises to accommodate diverse needs, ensuring participants develop strength and confidence while using specialized equipment and inclusive training approaches.
First Responder Training
Specialized programs prepare law enforcement and emergency service candidates for standardized fitness assessments like POPAT and COPAT. Training combines physical conditioning, scenario simulations, and personalized coaching to meet occupational demands while reducing injury risk through targeted strength and endurance development.
Kids on Wheels Cycling
This initiative introduces preschoolers to cycling through balance bikes and structured activities. Facilitators develop physical literacy, coordination, and confidence in a playful environment. The program partners with the BC Cycling Coalition to deliver equipment, lesson plans, and on-site support for early learning centers across South Vancouver Island.
