Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Toronto is committed to teaching the authentic practice of Ashtanga Yoga, as envisioned by its founder, Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, and developed by his most prominent student, B.K.S. Iyengar. Since its inception in 2008, our studio has grown into one of the world's largest and most respected Mysore programs, led by Level 2 Authorized teachers David Robson and Jelena Vesic.
What is Ashtanga Yoga?
Ashtanga Yoga is a system of yoga that involves synchronizing the breath with a progressively more challenging series of postures. This process produces intense internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. It is a vigorous moving meditation that helps improve focus and relieve anxiety in day-to-day life.
At Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Toronto, we believe that the restorative power and efficacy of the Ashtanga Yoga system lies in the consistency of the practice and the steadiness of the teaching. We feel that rigour and physical challenge are not incompatible with an intelligent and safe approach. Our classes are designed to accommodate students of all levels, and we strive to create a supportive and compassionate environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Other Considerations
We encourage students to wear comfortable, stretchy clothing to their classes. Bringing your own mat is recommended, but we have studio mats available for rent if you forget. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your first class to complete our intake form and meet our teachers.

Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Toronto is located at 3300 Yonge Street, Unit 204, Toronto, ON M4N 2L6. The studio is easily accessible by public transportation, with a subway stop located nearby. Metered parking is available on Yonge Street, and a Green P parking lot is within a 2-minute walk from the studio.
