Welcome to PaceSetter Athletic, your specialty run-walk-trail store located on the Sunshine Coast. We are a cozy shop, easily accessible in the Holy Crap Cereal plaza, offering a wide range of products and services tailored for runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts. Our goal is to provide high-quality footwear, technical apparel, and accessories at competitive prices, while fostering a friendly and engaging environment for the local community.
PaceSetter Athletic is owned and operated by Larry and Teresa Nightingale, who together possess over 90 years of experience and involvement in the running world. From participating in school teams as kids and teens, to competing at an elite level in cross country, track, and marathons, to race direction, club executive roles, and coaching, our founders have a deep-rooted passion for running and fitness.
Our journey began when we recognized the need for a local running store on the Sunshine Coast that offered a wide selection of running shoes, technical clothing, and running gear, as well as clinics and weekly group runs. With numerous successful running stores in the Lower Mainland and even one in Powell River, we decided to bring this concept to our community by opening PaceSetter Athletic in the fall of 2015.
