Elevating Real Estate, Elevating Communities

I am a clinical psychologist providing services in English and French to individuals aged 6 to 24 years old. I have been practicing since 2013 and have gained a strong generalist skill base from working in hospitals, counseling centers, school-based settings, and private practices. My therapeutic approach is based on collaboration, empowerment, and wellness. I strive to create a strong sense of connection with my clients and work with them to achieve their goals.

I am committed to providing a warm and welcoming environment for my clients. I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for successful therapy. I value diversity and inclusivity and strive to provide a safe and respectful space for all of my clients.

Services Offered

I offer a range of services, including individual therapy, testing of academic functioning in French, full psychoeducational assessments in English, consultation to schools and other organizations, parent training and counseling, and counseling for managing life transitions, stress management, and tics and Tourette's Syndrome. I also offer specific behavioral therapy for non-medical tic management.

I provide services for children, youth, and young adults who are struggling with difficulties such as depression, anxiety disorders, anger management, behavior difficulties, emotion regulation difficulties, relationship issues, managing life transitions, stress management, tics and Tourette's Syndrome, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Therapeutic Approaches

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Behavioural Interventions, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Comprehensive Behavioural Interventions for Tics (CBIT), and Motivational Interviewing Approach (MI). I am committed to using evidence-based practices and staying up-to-date with the latest research in the field of psychology.

Fees and Coverage

Psychology services in private practice are not covered by the Ontario's provincial health plan (OHIP). As such, my clients mostly use their extended health plan to cover the costs of services. Clients pay me for the service after the appointment and I issue a receipt that they can submit to their insurance for reimbursement. Currently, I only accept e-transfers as a form of payment. Please note that some extended coverage plans require for your family physician/pediatrician to make a referral for psychological services in order to get coverage.

First Therapy Appointment

The first appointment is an opportunity for me to meet with my client and at least one of their parents if they are under the age of 18 years. During the first session, I gather information about the client's presenting concerns and everyday life functioning. I also start a discussion of the goals for our work together and develop a plan for how we will tackle these goals. The first appointment is also an opportunity for clients to determine whether they feel a connection with me and whether they would like to attend additional sessions to work with me on their goals.
