Unsatisfactory Customer Experience with Armor Deck
Initial Installation and Early Issues
Author Debbie H. installed a deck from Armor Deck in June 2010. Shortly after installation, she noticed a sticky spot on the deck and contacted the company. The owner, Jerry, advised her to use Pink Solution to clean the area. However, the top finish rubbed off when she attempted to clean it with a soft brush.
Escalating Issues and Lack of Resolution
Over the next two years, the sticky spots increased, and Debbie H. reached out to the company again. Despite noting the issue, no resolution was achieved due to scheduling conflicts and travel. In the third year, the problem worsened, and Jerry visited with a glue expert to assess the situation. Upon learning that Debbie H. had used the recommended cleaner, the company claimed that her warranty was now voided due to the use of a harsh cleaner.
Unresolved Problem and Negative Impression
Debbie H. has been trying to resolve the issue for months without success. Her three-year-old deck is now so sticky that it cannot be walked on, and it appears worse than the eleven-year-old deck it replaced.
