Our History

B.D. Mitchell Prosthetics & Orthotics was founded in 1990 by Bryan Mitchell, a certified prosthetist and orthotist. With a vision to provide exceptional care to the mid and upper island region, Bryan opened his practice in Nanaimo. Over the years, the practice has expanded to include orthotic and pedorthic services, and now has two physical locations in Nanaimo and Comox, as well as satellite clinics throughout Vancouver Island.
