With over 20 years of experience, Kids Come First Child Care Services is a leader in providing a rich learning environment for all children through a variety of experiences, activities, and opportunities. Our child-centred approach allows children to develop positive self-esteem, confidence, and independence that they will need to succeed in school. We believe that every child is unique and deserves a nurturing environment that fosters their growth and development.

Our Mission

At Kids Come First, we are committed to maintaining a high-quality program with a curriculum that takes into account pedagogy and guiding principles found in the Ministry of Education's "How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years (2014)" (HDLH) and Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT). Our program is derived from the principles of "Emergent Curriculum", where the children's interest provides the basis of the curriculum. Our trained Educators observe and listen to the children as they co-construct knowledge with children through meaningful interactions between educators and children.

Our Services

We offer a range of child care programs that focus on age-appropriate play and learning opportunities. All children are involved in our educational and fun activities including music, art, storytelling, and recreation. Our programs include:

• Before & After School programs designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for children before and after school hours
• Toddler & Preschool programs that cater to the unique needs of young children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development
• PA Days & Extended Holidays programs that provide a fun and engaging environment for children during school holidays and PA days
• Summer Camp programs that offer a variety of activities and experiences for children during the summer months

Our Locations

We have multiple locations across the city, each providing a unique and nurturing environment for children. Our locations include Kids Come First Child Care Centre, Kids Come First Children's Centre, Kids Come First at Bakersfield, Kids Come First at Forest Run, Kids Come First at Glen Shields, Kids Come First at Julliard, Kids Come First at Maple Creek, and Kids Come First at Thornhill Woods.
