Our Story

Dr. Marilyn Chotem, a registered psychologist with over four decades of experience, founded our practice with the goal of helping individuals understand and overcome their mental health challenges. Throughout her career, Dr. Chotem has been driven by an essential need to understand the inner experiences of others, and to help people who are suffering. Her vast experience in the field of psychology has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide personalized and effective therapy services.

Our Services

We offer a range of therapy services designed to address various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, disordered eating, trauma, and relationship issues. Our services include:

Our therapists are trained in a range of therapeutic modalities, including psychoanalytic psychotherapy, bioenergetic analysis, gestalt therapy, dream therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, trauma therapy, somatic experiencing, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.

Experience and Qualifications

Dr. Marilyn Chotem holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Psychology and Counselling from McGill University, and has completed extensive training in various therapeutic modalities. She is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of BC (#773), and a member of the BC Psychological Association and the Canadian Psychological Association.
