Our practice is led by Lisa Wilvert, a registered psychotherapist with a wealth of experience in providing counselling and psychotherapy services. Lisa is committed to helping you find balance, spark, purpose, meaning, and joy in life, even amidst difficulties and crises. With great care, compassion, and an emphasis on safety, Lisa provides a warm and gentle presence to help you identify your goals, develop a plan, recognize your own strengths and internal resources, and develop new tools to overcome current distresses and hurdles.
Services Offered
At our practice, we offer a range of services tailored to your individual needs. These services include:
- Clinical Counselling: We provide evidence-based and practice-based modalities to help you work through anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship issues, and grief. Our approach is integrative, incorporating a holistic view or a bio-social-psycho-spiritual model. We use a developmental view from a psychodynamic and trauma-informed perspective, and we incorporate cognitive, behavioural, mindfulness and compassion-based practices, clinical counselling hypnotherapy, experiential - sound, somatic and psycho-spiritual tools.
- Spiritually Integrated Therapy: Lisa has a Masters of Pastoral Studies and a certificate in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy with a focus in Buddhist approaches to mental health. We offer a unique approach that integrates spirituality and psychotherapy, providing a safe and supportive space for you to explore your spiritual beliefs and practices as they relate to your mental health and well-being.
- Hypnotherapy: Lisa is a certified Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist (CHyp) and uses hypnotherapy as a tool to help you access your subconscious mind and make positive changes in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
- Sound Therapy: We offer sound therapy as a way to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve mental and emotional well-being.
- Sound Meditation: We offer sound meditation as a way to help you connect with your inner self, cultivate mindfulness, and promote healing.
- Professional Training: We offer professional training in mindfulness and compassion practices, clinical supervision and consultation, and other areas of expertise.
- Mindfulness & Compassion Practices: We incorporate mindfulness and compassion practices into our therapy approach, helping you cultivate awareness, self-compassion, and self-regulation skills.
About Lisa
Lisa Wilvert is a registered psychotherapist and a registrant of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Masters of Pastoral Studies and a certificate in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy with a focus in Buddhist approaches to mental health from Emmanuel College in the University of Toronto. Lisa has also earned diplomas in Spiritual Psychotherapy; Spiritual Direction; and in Holistic Health, Energetic Studies from Transformational Arts College.
As a lifelong learner, Lisa embraces continuing education in practice-based and evidence-based modalities. She has certified as a Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist (CHyp) and has earned certificates in trauma-informed practice, Body-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Applied Mindfulness Meditation. Lisa has additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Mindful Energy Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Energy Psychology for Trauma.
