We are delighted to welcome you to Creative Learning Center, a fully licensed and accredited childcare center that provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 12 months to 5 years. Our goal is to exceed the standards of quality care set out by the Government of Alberta and provide an engaging, supportive, and inclusive space where children can develop and learn.
At Creative Learning Center, we believe that play is a powerful tool for learning and growth. Our play-based curriculum is designed to empower children, promote independence, and foster confidence. We strive to create an atmosphere where children feel safe, loved, and supported as they explore, experiment, and discover the world around them.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of children at different stages of development:
- 12 Months - 24 Months Old: Our program for young learners is designed to promote feelings of belonging and loving care. We provide a creative and stimulating environment that encourages visual, language, social, gross motor, and small motor experiences to enhance learning. We prioritize open and thorough communication with families and work closely with parents to support their child's growth and development.
- 24 Months - 3 Years Old: This program is designed to provide stimulating experiences that allow children to learn through their own inquisitiveness. We focus on building self-confidence and fostering the natural curiosity that toddlers possess. Children enjoy a variety of play materials and creative centers where they can explore art materials and toys in an imaginative way with loving support from our educators.
- 3 Years - 5 Years Old: Our Preschool program is offered to children aged 3 to 5 years who are registered in the Day Care Program. The Preschool classes are offered in the mornings from 9 am to 11:30 am daily. The preschool classroom is spacious and the program is delivered by a teaching team comprised of two experienced and qualified preschool teachers and a teaching assistant. The remaining parts of the day include nutritious meals and snacks, outdoor activities, supervised free play, gross motor and fine motor activities.
Our Philosophy
At Creative Learning Center, we provide a child-centered, developmentally appropriate childcare program that creates opportunities for young children to explore and grow as their individual skills emerge. We support children in their social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative development. Our program is based on the knowledge that in order for children to form an understanding of the world, they must be given the opportunity and ample time to play and explore their environment.
We recognize and support parents and families as the primary caregivers for their children and value the role of the wider community in providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
