Our Story
The Victoria Golf Club, founded in 1893, is the oldest 18-hole golf course in Canada in its original location, and second oldest in North America. Our club has a rich history, with the course beginning as 14 holes but quickly expanding to 18 in 1895. Over the years, we have undergone several layout changes, with the current layout finalized in the mid-1920s.
Our Clubhouse
Our stately Clubhouse, completed in 1928 and a registered Canadian Historic Place, has undergone several expansions and renovations. The most recent renovation took place in 1993. The Clubhouse provides a grand and comfortable venue for you to create your own memories. As you walk through the storied building, you'll be reminded of a rich history of golf, companionship, and community that spans over generations.
Our Territory
We acknowledge that the Victoria Golf Club is located within the traditional territories of the Lekwungen speaking peoples of the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. We recognize the past and ongoing relationship between the community, the club, and the Indigenous peoples of the region.
