Our History
Our story began in 1951, when Gerry Visser moved to Canada and started selling life insurance. He expanded into general insurance in 1953. In 1980, his son, Jack, joined the business, and together they continued to grow the company. In 1947, Audy DesRoches started DesRoches Insurance as a general insurance broker and life agent. When he retired in 1987, he sold his business to his son, Jamie. In 1994, the two families came together, forming Desroches Visser Insurance Brokers. Today, the third generation of the Visser family is actively involved in the business, ensuring our commitment to exceptional service and customer satisfaction remains unwavering.
