Our Story
At Bow Valley Child Care Centre, we believe that every child is unique and deserves a nurturing environment that fosters growth, development, and creativity. Our centre has been privately owned and operated by the same Executive Director since 1986, and we take pride in providing high-quality child care and early learning services to children ages 12 months to 5 years. Our mission is to provide a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical growth and development of every child.
Our Philosophy
At Bow Valley Child Care Centre, we believe that children learn and grow best through play. We understand that every child is different, and we take the time to understand their individual needs and abilities. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff work closely with each child to tailor a curriculum that is tailored to their unique abilities and interests.
Our Programs
At Bow Valley Child Care Centre, we offer a range of programs designed to promote physical literacy, creative expression, and cognitive development. Our programs are designed to stimulate the children through creating unique learning experiences, and we prioritize providing opportunities for children to develop their gross motor skills through outdoor play and structured activities.
Physical Literacy
At Bow Valley Child Care Centre, we believe that physical literacy is essential for a child's overall development. We offer a range of activities designed to promote physical literacy, including exercise on child-sized fitness machines, sports and games, dance, yoga, Pilates, balance beams, and stretching. We also prioritize outdoor play, with all children scheduled for outdoor time each day, subject to weather. Our outdoor play space features three large play structures, including tunnels and slides, as well as a variety of planned activities.
Nutrition
We understand the importance of good nutrition for children's growth and development. At Bow Valley Child Care Centre, we prioritize providing a healthy and nutritious environment for all children. Our centre provides meals and snacks that are designed to meet the nutritional needs of children, and we take the time to ensure that every child has access to a wide range of healthy food options.
