Customer Experiences with Pro Trades
Pro Trades has been the subject of two very different reviews, with one customer having a highly negative experience and another having a positive one.
Negative Experience
Author Danielle R. rated Pro Trades with one star and described her experience as the "worst" she had ever had with a company. She felt that the company was "unethical and unprofessional" and had overcharged her for services rendered. Danielle was given an estimate for the work, but the final bill was much higher than expected. She was also billed for a "separate 'other' charge" that amounted to $300, which she believes was for an apprentice's work that would have equated to an hourly rate of $55 per hour, when the apprentice was likely paid only $18 per hour.
Furthermore, Danielle found that Pro Trades provided poor customer service, particularly when it came to getting parts or answers to her questions. She ended up having the job completed for less than Pro Trades had charged her for diagnostics. Danielle felt "completely taken advantage of" and noticed a lack of communication from the company, as well as discrepancies in the amount of hours worked and high labour charges. She warned others that they may be at the mercy of the company.
Positive Experience
On the other hand, Christine R. gave Pro Trades a five-star rating and described them as a "great company" with "great service." Christine called Pro Trades to have her furnace serviced and was informed by the technician that the company also offered plumbing and electrical services. The technician arranged for a plumber to visit, who Christine found to be "great" as well. Christine appreciated the convenience of having multiple services available through one company and found the overall experience to be positive.
