Saamis Immigration Services Association is a government-funded non-profit organization that has been assisting in the integration, adjustment, and resettlement of immigrants and refugees in the community of Medicine Hat since 1988. We provide a range of services, including full-time language instruction classes, settlement services, and support workers in the school system for newcomer families. Our goal is to foster individual and family needs in an environment of equality and dignity. With a history spanning over 35 years, we have expanded and flourished into a dedicated team that serves newcomers in all aspects of settlement, exhibiting every day that SISA is a peaceful and welcoming place for newcomers to the land.
