The Elgin Federation of Agriculture is a member-based county affiliate of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA), one of Ontario's general farm organizations. The purpose of the EFA is to lobby to improve the economic and social well-being of farmers in Elgin County, providing members with information on agricultural issues and to increase public awareness of agriculture and the food system. The organization also provides educational resources, events, and bursaries to support farmers and their families. Its key objective is to promote the welfare of farmers, farm families, and the farming industry. The EFA represents farmers' interests in municipal, provincial, and federal policy-making processes. With a monthly board meeting, the organization is open to members and non-members to attend and participate in discussions.
