History of Kildonan Tennis Club

Kildonan Tennis Club (KTC) has a rich history dating back to 1937, when it was founded as a non-profit organization with the mission to provide recreational and relaxation opportunities to its members at an affordable cost. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, our club has been a beloved institution in the community for over 80 years.

Mission and Objectives

At KTC, our mission is to promote tennis as a recreational and competitive sport, while providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for members of all ages and skill levels. Our objectives are to:

• Provide high-quality tennis programs and instruction to individuals of all ages and abilities
• Offer a safe and enjoyable environment for members to play tennis
• Foster a sense of community and camaraderie among its members
• Promote the benefits of tennis as a sport, including improved physical and mental health, social connections, and lifelong learning

Tennis Professionals and Coaches

Our team of experienced tennis professionals and coaches is dedicated to helping you achieve your tennis goals. Our coaching staff includes:

• Olga Berdynskykh, Assistant Tennis Professional, who has coached students of all levels and abilities
• Peter Otto, Head Tennis Professional, with many years of coaching experience and a deep understanding of the sport
• Ekaterina Zhupanova, Assistant Tennis Professional, with over 17 years of coaching experience

Membership Options

At KTC, we offer a range of membership options to suit your needs and preferences. Our membership categories include:

• Adult (30 years and over): Unlimited court access, 1 complimentary guest pass, voting privileges, and free junior membership for child(ren)
• Young Adult (29 years and under): Unlimited court access, 1 complimentary guest pass, voting privileges, and free junior membership for child(ren)
• Student (post-secondary age 18-29): Unlimited court access, 1 complimentary guest pass, voting privileges, and free junior membership for child(ren)
• Junior (17 and under): Unlimited court access
• 30-Day Membership: Open to all ages, including former members

Facilities and Services

Our facilities and services include:

• 8 outdoor tennis courts, fully lit and maintained year-round
• Clubhouse with amenities such as a pro shop, snack bar, and social areas
• State-of-the-art fitness center and exercise equipment
• Tennis lessons and programs for adults and juniors
• Social events and tournaments throughout the year

Community Involvement

At KTC, we believe in giving back to the community. We participate in local charity events and host our own fundraising activities throughout the year.
