AJ Petterson & Associates Inc. is a group of professional clinical counsellors providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families in and around Vancouver. Led by founder Abby Petterson, our team has extensive experience and expertise in addressing various challenges, including eating disorders, separation and divorce, depression, and anger management.

Our Approach

We believe in a client-centered, solution-oriented approach to therapy, empowering individuals to develop their natural capabilities, enhance self-awareness, and create meaningful changes in their lives. We utilize a range of therapeutic approaches, including family systems, attachment theory, cognitive-behavioural interventions, body-centered psychotherapy, and narrative therapy.

Eating Disorders

Our clinicians have specialized skills and extensive experience in treating eating disorders, understanding the complex underlying factors and providing comprehensive treatment plans. We treat various eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder.

Separation & Divorce

We understand the emotional and practical challenges associated with separation and divorce, offering support and guidance throughout the process. Our separation and divorce coach can assist with the collaborative divorce process, mediation, and litigation to minimize conflict and promote a fair and equitable resolution.

Individual & Family Counselling

We provide individual, couple, and family counselling to address various concerns, including depression, anger management, life transitions, and personal growth. We create a safe and supportive environment to explore concerns, develop coping mechanisms, and achieve lasting change.
