Area Fitness is a boutique-style personal training facility located in the heart of Toronto. Our company was founded in 2008 by our owner, Connie Cornelius, who has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry. Connie's passion for fitness and dedication to helping others achieve their wellness goals is evident in everything we do. Our team of qualified trainers is comprised of professionals who share Connie's passion and commitment to delivering exceptional results.

At Area Fitness, we believe that every individual is unique, with their own set of goals, needs, and circumstances. That's why we take a personalized approach to fitness, working closely with each client to understand their objectives and develop a customized plan to help them achieve their goals. Our trainers are certified in a variety of disciplines, including strength and conditioning, yoga, and nutrition, and are committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques.

Our team includes certified personal trainers and nutrition consultants who have a wealth of experience working with clients from all walks of life. We have worked with athletes preparing for competition, busy professionals looking to improve their overall health and wellbeing, and individuals looking to make lifestyle changes. No matter what your fitness goals may be, we are committed to helping you achieve them.

Our Services

One-on-One Personal Training: Our trainers work closely with each client to develop a customized training plan that addresses their unique needs and goals. We offer one-on-one training sessions by appointment, as well as group classes and corporate events.

Yoga Classes: We offer Yoga classes, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:00pm, with limited space available. Please sign up in advance.

Corporate Fitness: We are available for corporate events and fitness incentives. Please call or email to book your event today!

Meet Our Trainers

Connie Cornelius, Owner: With over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry, Connie is a certified personal trainer and nutrition consultant. She is owner of Area Fitness and has a passion for helping others achieve their wellness goals.

Derek Clement, Head Trainer: With a background in acrobatics and gymnastics, Derek is a certified personal trainer and massage therapist. He has worked with a wide range of clients and is dedicated to helping them achieve their fitness goals.

Stephanie Belding, Trainer: With over 13 years of experience, Stephanie is a certified personal trainer specializing in functional, form-based fitness and strength conditioning. She has a passion for plant-based living and is a former Vega Ambassador.

Esien Anwan, Trainer: With a background in track and field, human kinetics, and football, Esien is a certified personal trainer with a focus on strength and conditioning.
