Our Program
Fraser Community Child Care Center & Out of School Care Home operates on the philosophy of "Learning Through Play". We believe that children learn best when they are engaged in activities that are meaningful and enjoyable to them. Our program encourages both staff and child-initiated play that stimulates children emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically. Our staff members are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.
Our program focuses on building self-esteem, promoting social interaction, and encouraging independence. We understand that each child has different needs and developmental levels and our staff members are involved in communicating and working with families to ensure children's individual needs are being met. We offer a variety of activities and experiences that cater to different interests and developmental levels, including arts and crafts, music and movement, science and nature, and literacy and numeracy.
We provide nutritious morning snack, a full lunch, and an afternoon snack following the Canadian Food Guide. Our hours of operation are accommodating, from 6:30 am - 5:45 pm, and we offer part-time and drop-in services. We also provide bus transportation to and from neighborhood schools.
Our Team
Our team is made up of qualified, attentive, and caring staff members who are dedicated to providing quality care to every child. We have an open-door policy for parents and guardians and welcome their involvement in our program. We offer opportunities for parents and guardians to sit on the Parent/Guardian Advisory Board and attend the Annual Policy Update Meeting.
