Angus McKay Nursery School

At Angus McKay Nursery School, we are dedicated to providing a safe, friendly atmosphere where children can learn and grow through play and exploration. As a non-profit charity nursery school, we have been serving the Fraser's Grove area of East Kildonan for over 40 years, operating out of the Angus McKay Elementary School.

Our experienced and caring staff are committed to creating a stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and independence in children. Our program is designed to meet the needs of the whole child, focusing on physical, social, creative, intellectual, and emotional development. We believe that children learn best through play, and our programs are designed to provide a balance of structured and unstructured activities that encourage exploration and discovery.

Our Programs

We offer morning and afternoon programs for children aged 3-5 years, running from September to June, following the River East Transcona School Division Calendar. Our programs are designed to provide a nurturing environment that promotes socialization, creativity, and learning. Our experienced staff work closely with parents to ensure that each child's individual needs are met, and that they are well-prepared for their future educational journey.

Our Space

We are fortunate to have the use of the elementary school gym and playground, which allows us to provide activities that require greater space and energy. This also helps children to familiarize themselves with school culture, making the transition to kindergarten a smoother one.
